Organizing a running event can be a daunting task. It is a lot of work, but can be very rewarding. Beaton Tech (BT) offers this step by step guide to help race directors organize successful running events. Beaton has been helping race directors for 30 years. SPONSORS: Sponsors are needed to help events raise capital for the charities they promote. Donations can be used to sponsor giveaways or advertisements, t shirts, banners, bags, water, refreshments and products. Sponsors in turn are advertised at the event. Race Management
 

Helping runners and race directors run in and manage running events and races for over 20 years. Bob Beattie manages and times over 50 races a year as Island Timing on Long Island, New York. Beaton Tech manages a network of website promoting running on Long Island and with this site hopes to branch out nationwide. On Long Island, 10,000 runners pass over Island Timing's finish line every year.

May, 2007: Bob Beattie has formed Beaton Technological Systems LLC dba Island Timing to take over the responsibility of the Websites, Race Management, Chip Timing, and Publishing of Fit Results, The East End Runner, The Running Pages, The Hamptons Pages and to create and expand on new enterprizes. In November, 2007 Island Timing will introduce the Winning Time chip to our races. In 2010 we are introducing Jaguar.
