Every race should have a website to promote your event. Each event is advised to use online registration. Island Timing can help you set up or go directly to: Island Running Online Registration Online registration is the best way to promote and register runners. It provides an easy registration list to work with and builds an e mail list for next years event. Place a direct link on all your websites and ads. Island Timing maintains a list of runners who have run in your race, and maintains a master list that is available for your use. We encourage our customers to mail registration forms to all their previous registrants. The best way to distribute registration forms is to bring them to other races. Distribute forms to local running stores, and gyms. And advertise in your local running clubs. Island Timing can provide you with places to distribute and advertise on Long Island. Checklist for the week before the race: Receive T shirts, awards, goody bags, refreshments and a lot of water. Get registration information to timer. Last minute promotions to newspapers, radio and TV, perhaps a reminder mailing and/or e mail to potential participants.

SPONSORS: Sponsors are needed to help events raise capital for the charities they promote. Donations can be used to sponsor giveaways or advertisements, t shirts, banners, bags, water, refreshments and products. Sponsors in turn are advertised at the event.
